International Association of Infant Massage

Why learn the IAIM massage routine?
-
The IAIM is the original and longest-standing infant massage association in the world. Our instructors are certified in the internationally recognised curriculum currently taught in over 70 counties across the globe.
-
Each certified instructor must have a refresher course every 3 years with any updates with new research useful for our parents.
-
Ongoing support is available from a large international community.
-
More and more baby massage instructors and replica-training providers are emerging in the UK, but none can offer the trusted heritage, international expertise, and ongoing professional standards of the IAIM.
-
The IAIM programme emphasises sensitive and enjoyable interaction between you and your baby, so that you can gain a deeper understanding of your baby’s behaviour, unique language, and cues.
-
The International Association of Infant Massage celebrates over 20 years in the UK.
USE OF OILS
The International Association of Infant Massage recommends that babies be massaged with a high-quality organic, unscented, cold-pressed oil.

Advantages of Oils
-
Contains beneficial ingredients, e.g., vitamins and minerals.
-
They have no added scents as they may mask the parent's/baby's natural body odour (an important bonding element).
-
Are edible and therefore recognised as digestible food by the body, no worries if the baby sucks their hands and feet!
-
Humans naturally shed skin so the oil I provide you will automatically nourish the skin and your hands at the same time.

The IAIM strongly recommends avoiding the use of essential oils in baby massage oil.
